Painting

Well we have not been doing this messy job for sometime now and seeing Umm Suhailah at Ummi's Circle doing a great job with paints with two toddlers I made up my mind that I need to give some fun time for Maimoonah every now and then with paints. I must tell you masha Allaah actually Maimoonah does not make a big mess while painting and she is to a great degree careful and keeps the place clean.

I also intend to teach her new painting techniques every time she uses paints. (I am zero talented in painting, I thought I will dig the net and get some ideas Insha Allaah!)

Here are some pics and things we did!

Using the Tooth brush she made this paiting.

Marbles in a box with paints. shake Shake Shake....

And the end result....

Snakes with fingers.....

Independent work with water colours...

Stencils in action

Remaining paints and her own designs.....

Alaikum salaam,

You mean you are waiting for my I spy bottle. Well I did that when we were doing about "Allaah can see everything" for the sense of sight. But I did not colour the rice as I did not have food colouring!! And I have still not got them... May be I will do one later Insha Allaah!

I need to put up the kite festival and museum pics. Waiting for zawj to give them to me. The dealy is his, so got to wait Insha Allaah!

Assalaamu alaikum uhktee,

Masha Allah! My kids will need new toothbrushes soon *smile*. But what kind of paint did you use? acryl?
And watching how she did with the pre coloured pictures and then painted to match really shows that Maimoonah`s painting skills are just wow!, tabarak Allah masha Allah! I have books like that for my kids and they pick the correct colors but the coloring/painting are not neat as Maimoonah`s *smile*

Alaikum salaam warahmathullaah Umm Adam,

For the coloring of the pictures on the book I used water colours. For all the others acrylic poster colours.

Yes masha Allaah she does that well, thanks to Aboo Maimoonah cos he introduced painting to her and I have noticed if he does teach her something she learns well and remembers through out and she knows he knows better than me in that area.

She likes to do this on her own and does not like interference. So I just give her the book and the water colours and vanish from that area. She will do it and keep to dry.

When time goes your kids would do it well too Insha Allaah! Just that all they need is practice: )

Assalamo alaikum Sister,

Mashallah looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Paints always bring out the creativity of kids. We also have fun in different ways with them in our house. Every now and then I try to do something unusual with paints with my Lil Muallims.
