بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Alhamdulillaah a dear friend of mine who is also a fellow homeschooler had the idea of forming a Girls Club to give our girls different flavours! So we did a small brainstorming and came up with "Tarbiyah Girls Club".
As you see above we hope to cover the topics mentioned and carry on this club with 12 girls who have enrolled from ages 6 to 11 Inshaa Allaah. Today was the first class and this is our classroom.
Each child is given a binder, notepad and a small notebook. All notes and worksheets will be filed in the binder and the kids are taught to organize themselves by noting down homework they need to finish up and any other important matters they need to tell their parents or things they need to bring for the next class. Just creating a sense of responsibility here Inshaa Allaah.
We started off with explaining the Khutbatul Hajjah and the girls introduced themselves. Then we went through the "Manners of a Student" as we see from our salaf.
We are using the book "Al Waajibaat" to cover Aqeedah. So today we did lesson 1. We are using the Waajibaat Worksheets done by our dear sister Umm Khadeeja which you can also download here.
So we explained to the girls certain important terms and gave them notes to file and worksheets to do some homework.
Today for home - making the girls were taught some basic kitchen safety rules and since the recipe for today was Dates and Chocolate Chips Cookies they were taught some hadeeth about dates and given some homework to do on dates.
Then the girls were taught the importance of washing the hands before cooking. They all washed their hands and were now ready for a cooking lesson with another homeschooling sister. Maashaa Allaah she did a wonderful job with the girls. They learnt to measure using cups, teaspoons, tablespoons and measuring cup. They also learnt different skills such as breaking eggs, stirring, mixing, blending, using an oven and so on.
After which the girls tasted their delicious cookies and went home.
We hope all the girls enjoyed today as much as we did preparing for them Inshaa Allaah. Maimoonah was very pleased with the whole idea and the class today. My sincere thanks to the dear sister who opened her doors for us and having us use her home for this class and preparing all the things and I also thank the other sister for coming along and helping us with home making. Jazzakumullaah Khayr! Inshaa Allaah we will meet again in another 2 weeks for the next interesting class.

MashaAllaH it seems like a lots of fun and learning.. i wish i was a little girl and be a part of it. i liked this whole idea , its just not not imparting islamic knowledge through books but also learning life skills in an islamic enviroment.
