"And therefore the knowledge of Allaah is the greatest and honourable knowledge, and this leads to the proper estimation of Allaah, loving Him and eagerness to meet Him. The more a person is knowledgeable of Allaah, the more perfection he is in his love of Him.

And, therefore ‘whoever believes in Allaah and His Names and Attributes’ and knows of Him in this respect will love Him more, and then he would achieve a state of sweetness in his heart, and this sweetness puts him in a state whereby he will always love to meet Allaah and be close to Him and to sense and look at His Face, and listen to Him and to His words."

Alhamdulillaah, when we embarked on this project of compiling the 99 Names of Allaah based on authentic sources for the children to be nurtured from a young age understanding the true meanings of the Names of Allaah our intention was also to remind and educate the parents to learn and preserve the meanings of the Names of Allaah. By the mercy of Allaah, we completed 10 books explaining all 99 Names in depth along with reinforcing activities and project to make them act upon the knowledge while enhancing their active thinking and learning skills. 

We are pleased to share with all of you the flashcards we made for the students to revise the 99 Names of Allaah. These flashcards are based upon the collection of Shaykh Uthaimeen's 99 Names translated and explained by our noble brother and teacher Abu Talha Daawood Burbank, may Allaah have mercy upon him. Aameen. This was made with the kind permission of Talha Burbank, the son of our brother Abu Talha. May Allaah bless him and his siblings and his family. We are grateful for his continuous support in granting us permission to use the noble work of his father. May Allaah accept this from him.

How can the flashcards be used?

• You may print them on cardstock. Each page has 4 Names. 
• You may laminate them and cut out each card. 
• You can use the ring binder for a set of 10 to 12 cards. (We have differentiated the sets by including the same illustrations for each set, which goes along with our Workbooks. Those of you who have the workbooks, your children will be able to remember and know which book has these Names on them for further study)
• It is a great tool to revise our Nurture Islaam Beautiful Names of Allaah online course and the books.

Why is Dhul Hijjah Special - Free Download

Alhamdulillaah, we are in the best ten days of the year. And it is time for another FREE DOWNLOAD, Inshaa Allaah.

This time it is for our little preschoolers and kindergartners (Ages 3 - 5, but can be used by older children too). 

It's all about why Dhul Hijjah is special. They would love to put together this cute file folder Inshaa Allaah. This was the material that was used for our online workshop with the little Muslims and Muslimahs who are using the Nurture Islaam Prekinder Pack.

Instructions

1. You will need 1 A3 size coloured paper and 1 A3 size white paper. If you do not have A3 size papers, then you will need 2 A4 sizes coloured papers and 2 A4 size white papers.

2. If you are using A3 size papers fold them into two and staple them in the middle to look like a book. If you are using A4 size papers staple all papers together to look like a book with the coloured paper in front and back and the white papers inside.

3.Print all pages from the document and cut all elements, then paste them on the lapbook in order. 

4. Children can colour and decorate.

Allaah is the Creator - Free Download

We have been silent in the space for a while. Alhamdulillaah we have been busy with transitions. Children are growing, and their needs are different. And by the grace of Allaah and your support, our online courses and online digital products are growing and reaching many families and communities. 

We hope we can continue to blog and share our journey and resources with you all regularly Inshaa Allaah.

We are here today to share a simple activity we did when Ramlah when she was 3 years. She is almost 5 now, and she loves to do this activity. 

This is a little book that can be used for instilling Tawheed Ar Ruboobiyah the Lordship of Allaah, early reading, read aloud, memory game, copy-work or copywriting, writing and much more.

You may read the sentences first even with a 2-year-old. And then explain about Allaah being Al Khaaliq. You can also use the little cards to enhance vocabulary and show the kids the images when you are reading, emphasising that Allaah is the Creator who created everything. 

You may have all the little images in a basket and ask the child to match the images in the little box provided as and when you read a sentence. This can work as a memory game too. 

Older kids can draw images and have some art fun. You can also use stickers or pictures and get the children to cut and paste. It is designed so that it's easy for you to tweak as per your child's capability. 

Once this is done, you can continue to use it for reading and read aloud. The children who are learning to read via Glenn Doman's Reading Program will find this book a treat just like my little one did. 

As they grow older, or for kids who can write or are learning to write, they can also use this for copy work. They can look at a Quráan aayah which talks about each sentence or a hadeeth and Copywrite in the space provided. 

The little kids who are learning the parts of speech or just learning to write can make their own sentences and practise parts of speech and writing sentences. 

And finally, older kids can come up with their own writings, writing a small paragraph about the sentence linking it to the Lordship of Allaah.

The creativity has no end as this little book works for all primary level ages bringing you a great amount of benefit with simplicity. 

Arabic sentences are included for Arabic reading and writing too. An additional bonus Inshaa Allaah. Please note the Arabic words for fruits and vegetable, tree and flower are in the singular form. Inshaa Allaah will try to correct them and upload. For now, you could use it as singular form inshaa Allaah.

How to Print and Assemble this Booklet?

• Print on A4 size sheets of papers. You MUST print as single sides, double side printing will not work. 
• Print the cover page on sturdy heavy paper.
• Cut the cover page (front and back cover) into half from the middle. Make sure the corners are lined up. ( Important: Only the cover page should be cut all other pages should be folded into half)
• Fold the remaining pages of the book into half while taking care to line up the corners.
• Stack the pages with the folded edge on the right.
• Place them in order - title page, then page 3, 5, 7, 9, etc. Regardless of the number of pages on the book, the odd numbers should be stacked sequentially.
• Square up the edges of all pages. Tuck the inner pages as tightly as possible.
• Metal spiral-bind the pages for easy use.
• You may use this video as a guide to see how the inner pages are folded.

Alhamdulillaah we are pleased to share with you yet another free download from our Nurture Islaam Products. This time it's all about encouraging young and growing children to study and learn about the biographies of the Inheritor of the Prophet, our noble scholars.

Maashaa Allaah there are many authentic books on the biographies of the scholars available now in English. Invest in them and make it a tradition of your family to read and know them and know about their lives. Here are some titles available here

    

   


We have immense benefits and lessons to learn from their noble life and their stories become great inspiration and motivation especially for pre-teens and teenagers at this age and time, subhanallaah!

Even if you have given your children a good upbringing and a solid foundation of the dheen at early years, they are not free from falling into fitna. They need constant reminders, they need continuous encouragement, they need sincere guidance, they need endless inspiration and motivation. Reading and learning the lives of the scholars together as a family is one way to achieve this.

We know the pre-teen and the teenage age is not easy to deal with. It is tough, but Alhamdulillaah for Islaam. We just need to take that extra step and establish something. Stories touch the hearts, stories change the hearts, stories have a powerful impact on us, So why not use this tool of storytelling and story reading to cultivate our growing children. It helps the adults too. Don't we all need some boost every now and then to increase our weakening Eemaan?

We started our journey of learning about the scholars many years ago with Maimoonah, But we had to stop as I could not find enough authentics information or books at that time about the scholars and it took a lot of my time and effort to simplify and put together something for her.. Alhamdulillaah now we have access and we want to restart this journey. And inshaa Allaah we will be slowly producing the series on the biography of the scholars and make them available for purchasing at the Nurture Islaam Series little shop soon. Till then here is something for you to start.

Get some books on the biographies of the scholars or use this link and read with your children. Make time for reading and discussing just like you make time for coffee and tea. Relax and read little at time and when you complete the story of a scholar get your kids to use these free templates are fill them up. You can compile your own scrapbook or binder on the biographies of the scholars inshaa Allaah. It does not take even 30 minutes to fill it up. Reading and discussing mat=y take some time. But once done just make kids use their creativity in writing and crafting and fill it up. Serves as good writing practice and literacy enrichment too.

I chose to write about the Muhaddith of this era Shaykh Naasirruddeen al Albaani raheemahullaah who changed my life and who captured my interest as a teenager through his precise writings and fiqh. I remember tears would not stop when the news reached me that day that he has returned to the mercy of Allaah, May Allaah have mercy upon him and grant him the highest position in Jannah and enable me to see him in the best place ever.
