Summary - Week 22 - Outside My World!

Outside My World!

We spoke about the Qur'aanic Aayahs in which Allaah talks about the Heavens and the earth, sun, moon, stars and the Universe and the fact that He has created them floating in their orbits.

Explained and taught the names of the planets discovered by man. I emphasized the point that these names are given by men to these planets and Allaah does not talk about any names. ( Also at this moment of time I did not wanted to tell her that these names are derived from the so called gods and godesses of the ancient greek myths, aoothubillaah for the only reason that she would refused to study this whole subject if she knows that Shirk is involved. My husband advised me not to say this right now but after she is familair with the subject to explain to her Insha Allaah!)

We used this big book that we had to learn about, Planets, Constellations, comets, space shuttles, astronauts etc etc. There are were some simple experiments on this book, we just tried few of them but hope to continue next year Insha Allaah!

She drew this and showed me after some time. She was explaining to me the orbit : )

When talking about constellations I explained to her that these are man made theories and Allaah created stars only for 3 purposes. We discussed how the stars are created to chase away the Jinns and how the stars help the travelers and how they look so beautiful in the sky blinking. Subhanallaah!

Then we pasted a diagram of the solar system on the Environmental Studies book. And did these worksheets and pasted them on the book as well.

She put this puzzle together and learnt the planets.

She also did this activity from the Pre School Pack. Sorting the planets and not planets. (we could not do the whole pack due to having some printer problems)

We made a small Outer space book taken from the above pack.

We did the wonderful mini work book almost at the end due to printer problems. Masha Allaah I could print it out in grey scale. We avioded the Planet mobile this time. Insha Allaah we will do it next year bi idhnillaah.

The book was so wonderful. She did the cutting and pasting activities. Beginning sounds, learnt about the space shuttle, pasted the parts of it and enjoyed reading the book too.

We also did some activities on Astronauts which we got from here. She did this tracing.

She had real fun with this 5 little astronauts having a galactic fun in the moon. I used straws to make them and we did the poem along with this.

She also made this Toilet paper roll astronaut craft interdependently.

Asmaaul Husnah
We learnt Al Hayy and Al Qayyum

Qur'aan Memorization
We are Continuing with Soorah Al A'la

Reading, Writing, Language
She has been reading all of these books masha Allaah!

She traced these and wrote some of them.

Maths
We did not do MEP this week instead she completed this maths workbook.

Arabic
We completed all the Arabic letters.

Montessori Activities
Taking Care of the plants. Her Abi has taught her how to water the plants and how to wipe the leaves to take out all the dust

Also she was waiting for her father to come to do this "SPLASH", at the beach. The next day after he arrived he took her to the beach for few minutes and they learnt to "SPLASH" : )

Alhamdulillaah this ends our Islaam is My Life Preschool Curriculum. All praise is indeed due to Allaah for enabling us to complete this and we ask Allaah to make this a beneficial ilm for us as well as for all of you.

I sincerely thank sister Umm Ibraheem at Talibiddeenjr for this wonderful Curriculum outline and I also thank my dear sister Umm An Nu'man for putting out all 22 books for each week for this complete curriculum. Barakallaah Feekum dear sisters, may Allaah grant you the best in this world and the next for this extraordinary help that you have done to help me and all those who follow this curriculum. Aameen.

Please note I have created a label on the right hand side with " Pre school Curriculum - Summary" and you will find there only 22 post which are the 22 weeks of summary Insha Allaah!. For some reason the search this blog feature is not working for me. So I hope this label would help you to see each week without having to search and waste time Insha Allaah!

Alhamdulillaah this year has come to end and Insha Allaah I will post the Next Year's Curriculum outline soon.
