Pillars of Islaam!

As  you know we have taken a break from our curriculum and learning Hajj related topics and activities with revision.

We completed the Pillaars of Islaam Scrap Book. Just to make things interesting I gave her paints and asked her to decorate all the pages of the scarp book before pasting the contents. She did this with lot of interest. I knew she wasa bit bored now with colouring with colour pencils and this was a good change.

Maimoonah made a pillars of Islaam mobile with toilet paper rolls. After she completed each pillar before we did the stringing part I asked her to take each pillar and talk about it. She did well masha Allaah. For example she took the shahaadah pillar to her hand and said " Shahaadah is the 1st pillar of Islaam. It has two parts. The First part is "to testify none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone", the second part is "that Muhammad sallaahu alaihiwasallam is Allaah's Messenger". Shahaadah has 7 conditions and they are..." She said all the conditions in Arabic and English. And did the same with rest of the pillars. Then we did the stringing and hung it.  We spoke about Hajj more as we did not cover this topic when we did our curriculum. Insha Allaah we will do more during these blessed days. Here are the pics Insha Allaah! (click on the slide show to see it large insha Allaah!)

Please also see some wonderful activities do with your kids during these days here. Umm Sara has made things easy for all of us, may Allaah reward her. Aameen.
