Puddings!

It has been some time now since Maimoonah was in the kitchen. So we decided to make a couple of puddings as we were expecting some guest the other day for a small Pizza Party.

So we made a Semolina Pudding with Jelly and a Fruit and Custard Pudding. Maimoonah was pretty much involved in the making.

This was a good learning experience masha Allaah. I showed her how we measure, how we add ingredients while the fire is on, how we should be careful not to get hurt and she learnt to stir without making it a mess and many more! She learnt to use the blender as she crushed some cashew nuts for me very much independently.

Here are some pics.

I forgot to take picture of the done Semolina Pudding. Any way if you want to try it here is the recipe for it Insha Allaah!

Ingredients
  • 1 Tin Condensed Milk
  • 2 Tins Water
  • 1 Tea Cup Semolina
  • 100g Cashew Nuts (blend into tiny pieces, do not crush like powder)
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon Rose Essence
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon Almond Essence

Mix Condensed Milk and water. Keep over fire and stir till it steams. Add Semilona and cashew nuts. Keep stirring. When it thickens add all the essences. Boil and pour into dish. Make a jelly (1 pack) and pour over. Refrigerate and serve Insha Allaah!

The other one you do not need a recipe. Just make the custard and add friut pieces (I use the friut cocktail), little bit of cashew nuts and refrigirate. You can serve with jelly. This is how our pudding looked!

Alhamdulillaah our Pizza Party along with steak and pudding went off well and all of us enjoyed!
