Supporting Mums and Teachers - Nurture Islaam Parenting and Teachers Club

Alhamdulillaah, I started this blog twelve years ago with the sole intention of sharing what I did with my eldest daughter who was 2 years old at that time. A decade ago it was extremely hard to find authentic rich materials for children without any polluted ideologies. Added to that it was even harder to find a continuous support group for mums and teachers upon the Sunnah to enhance our motherhood qualities to cultivate our children.

However, I must say a decade ago without Facebook, WhatsApp. Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms this blog was the space where I had a very warm sisterhood blossoming and turning into a small community. I remember when those sisters used to eagerly wait for my next post. And every single word written in the post were read Alhamdulillaah. Comments used to pour and we used to have some concrete beneficial chats in the comment section. Good old days, subhanallaah!

If you have read this far, then you have done well, Alhamdulillaah. Because, sadly today, majority of the people do not want to read blog posts. Reading long articles have become a burden today. The effects of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tiktok and others! The reality is that everyone wants a short video or an image with a few lines to read. People are looking for followers and interaction on social media platforms and working towards engagement and figuring out the algorithm and spending time to make their social media platforms successful. While these are good things to do to grow a small business or to reach more people who would benefit I personally feel that the essence of true support and sincere learning is lacking today. 

Having said that, since I started offering workshops and courses for the past five years now by the mercy of Allaah, I understand that many mums and teachers are looking for a continuous support group where they can enhance their personal and professional development so that they can cultivate their children and students upon the guidelines of the Prophet sallaahu alaihiwasallaam. This is mainly because today parenting and teaching coaching and techniques have become so much widespread and many Muslim parents are doubting their parenting and at times the Islaamic values too. 

Therefore, to continue upon the intention of starting this blog I decided to launch a Parenting and Teachers Club with a vision to help our Muslim mums and teachers, Inshaa Allaah. 

We did a survey some time back to understand the need of our community and I thank everyone for taking the time to complete this survey. May Allaah reward you as this really helped me to focus on the need, Alhamdulillaah. 

Accordingly, we launched the Nurture Islaam Parenting and Teachers Club a few months ago. Here are the details of the club and how to join.

Nurture Islaam Prenting and Teachers Club - What is it? 

The club is FREE, however, due to the limitation I have currently and to make this club a meaningful space you will have to sign up for the self-paced mum's workshop "Mum You are the First School". This 4-day live workshop with access to the recordings will be focusing on many aspects so that you can dive in immediately to equip your first school. 

This workshop is NOT only for homeschooling mums, but for all Muslim mums inshaa Allaah as what we would focus here is to cultivate your blossoming children to be an active learner upon the guidelines of the best teacher and parent our Prophet Muhammad sallaahu alaihiwasallam along with incorporating tried and tested techniques and methods. Alhamdulillaah, we are in the best ten days of the year. And it is time for another FREE DOWNLOAD, Inshaa Allaah.

This time it is for our little preschoolers and kindergartners (Ages 3 - 5, but can be used by older children too). 

It's all about why Dhul Hijjah is special. They would love to put together this cute file folder Inshaa Allaah. This was the material that was used for our online workshop with the little Muslims and Muslimahs who are using the Nurture Islaam Prekinder Pack.

Instructions

1. You will need 1 A3 size coloured paper and 1 A3 size white paper. If you do not have A3 size papers, then you will need 2 A4 sizes coloured papers and 2 A4 size white papers.

2. If you are using A3 size papers fold them into two and staple them in the middle to look like a book. If you are using A4 size papers staple all papers together to look like a book with the coloured paper in front and back and the white papers inside.

3.Print all pages from the document and cut all elements, then paste them on the lapbook in order. 

4. Children can colour and decorate.

"Educating and nurturing our children correctly, upon the Perfect Religion of Allaah, can often feel like an enormous and sometimes, insurmountable challenge.  We want to make sure that we teach them what is correct, and that it goes past their ears and reaches into their hearts. 

Notwithstanding that everyone's situation is different, I still believe we each want for them, what we want and love for ourselves; correct, beneficial knowledge that we can explain easily to them in a way that they understand.  Correct knowledge that they will build on, review over and again, and that they enjoy learning.

Allah is the Most Generous Provider.  Alhamdulillah, He has enabled Umm Maimoonah to simplify and present a variety of important lesson benefits, Islamic history, amazing miracles of Allah, strong and admirable biographies of the best of creation, practical applications in Language Arts-Reading, Copywriting, Comprehension, etc, Geography, Science, and so much more, all weaved into and explained within The Lessons From the Stories of the Prophets Junior Level Workbooks.  

The easy to read, colorful, yet simple illustrations and authentically referenced texts to the Book of Allah and Ahadeeth are accompanied by activity sheets, extension research crafts and lapbooks related to each Prophet Story.

The Workbooks alone have been so beneficial as bedtime stories and daytime independent readers for my 6 and 9-year-olds; over and again.  We continue to revise our understanding, reflecting on the beautiful manners, character, and strength of the Prophets, their families, and learning about ourselves as Muslims, in our own day and time, from looking at the historical lessons and experiences of the nations and their people to whom the Prophets and Messengers were sent; without becoming bored with them. 

The full, comprehensive course with the live instruction of Umm Maimoonah explaining the workbook, of course, added even more value to having them because of the additional points of benefit she provides within the slide presentation, walhamdulillah.  However, even now, months later, the workbooks in themselves, still provide so much detail and information for discussion, reflection, and review with my children.  They are such a blessing to have.  Additionally, the worksheets can be reprinted as often as I need them, inshaa'Allah, or want to do the activities again to reinforce and retain what they learned, walhamdulillah.

May Allah place blessings in the time each parent spends with their children learning the priceless lessons to be gained from Allah's Noble Prophets and Messengers.  Aameen. "
