Who remembers Uncle Moosaa gently asking little Zainab not to spin on her chair and saying, “Zainab, does Allah know that you are spinning around on your chair?”
And all those beautiful sittings Uncle Moosa had with the little girls. Teaching us adults at the same time, howing us how to handle little children, how to teach excellent manners, how to encourage them, distract them when needed, keep them enthusiastic, and most importantly, how to teach Aqeedah in such a fun and creative way.
Maimoonah was only three years old at that time. We used to listen to those Aqeedah lessons together, and she learnt so much, alhamdulillah. That was 15 years ago.
Later, when Ramlah was three or four, we listened to the lessons again. She loved them too. I really wanted her to engage deeply with these lessons because they were simple, interactive, and excellent for developing listening skills. But Ramlah was more of a touch-and-feel, kinaesthetic learner. She needed something to do with her hands while learning.
That’s when the idea came to create a workbook to go along with each lesson.
Time passed, and we did what we could, but the passion to bring these lessons to life never left. Alhamdulillaah! Together with my good friend who designs Nurture Islaam Producst, we finally put together these 10-part workbooks to accompany Ustadh Moosaa Richardson’s Aqeedah Lessons for Kids audio series. He kindly gave us permission to use his text. We transcribed the lessons and included the same wording in these books, so they can be read aloud by teachers or used by children for reading and early reading practice.
These books were first shared with our Nurture Islaam Parenting Club Members exclusively an year ago. We thank our members for taking the time to review and help us fix the typos and mistakes. And of course for their wonderful feedback. Alhamdulillaah our members get to review our free products first and they also benefit from lot more. Have a look at what we do there. Nurture Islaam Parenting and Teachers ClubWe also included the same review questions Ustadh Moosaa asks at the end of each lesson, so you can use them to spark meaningful conversations and thoughtful discussions at home or in class.
Each part includes activities designed for ages 3–8. The activities are carefully structured according to curriculum and developmental standards to enhance critical thinking, pre-writing and writing skills, comprehension, motor skills, and cognitive development. If used properly, they can form a full curriculum. The activities are created to connect directly to what the children are learning, making Aqeedah relevant to their lives.
As we always emphasise in all our Nurture Islaam courses and books — Islam should not be taught as a separate subject. It should be integrated into all areas of learning so that young children understand that Aqeedah is not separate from their lives. It is part of their daily experiences. That is the focus behind these activities.
The activities gradually build in difficulty as the child progresses. Parents and teachers should understand their child’s level and choose activities that suit their age and ability. Of course, the activities can be done as a family. Younger children benefit by observing older siblings completing more challenging tasks, they learn through watching too. That is why we always encourage parents and teachers to involve even the youngest children. Learning still takes place.
These books are also excellent travel kits to keep children busy, or even during Ramadan while you are praying and engaged in ‘ibaadah — they will have something meaningful to do.

How to Use the Worbooks - Let's Learn About Allaah
Plan how you want to complete the 10 parts. Pacing is very important to get the most benefit. We recommend printing the books and keeping them handy. They are printer-friendly and include cute illustrations.
- Listen to Ustadh Moosaa’s lessons with your children. Pause when needed depending on your child’s age and attention span.
- Read the text aloud, or allow the child to read if they are capable.
- Ask the review questions and build conversations around them.
- Choose the activities you would like to complete for that lesson.
- Complete a few activities at a time — no need to rush.
- Always bring the lessons into daily life and refer back to them often.

What you can do: 
- Download the files from the link and save them on your device.
- Print them for your personal use as much as you wish.
- Print and distribute physical copies to family and friends as free gifts.
- Use printed copies with homeschool groups, masaajid, playdates, or gatherings.
